Born in Kailua, Hawaii, Medeiros graduated from West Chester University in Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. Medeiros started her senior living career with Atria Assisted Living, where she worked on the corporate transition team providing training and support for communities requiring assistance with compliance, census, and other operational difficulties. In 2003, Medeiros joined The Plaza team, a company that provides Independent, Assisted Living, and Memory Support services. Medeiros was responsible for opening The Plaza at Punchbowl, a 137-bed assisted living community servicing senior residents who can no longer live alone but are not quite ready for a nursing home. Due to the success of The Plaza at Punchbowl, The Plaza Assisted Living opened The Plaza at Mililani in February 2010. The Plaza at Mililani offers a 128-bed assisted living community. The Plaza Assisted offers independent, assisted living, and memory support levels of care. Medeiros also has an extensive background in working with Dementia, and she has served on the Alzheimer's Association Board of Directors for fours years. In 2009, she was named Chairman of the Board.
