Jeffrey Haynes is a graduate of George Mason University. During his time at George Mason, he was a member of the debate team and participated in the National Debate Tournament. He then attended the University of South Carolina School of Law. While at USC, he was a prosecutor with the Honor Committee. A criminal defense attorney since 1991, Haynes started his legal career as a Sixth Judicial Circuit prosecutor. During his time in the prosecutor’s office, serving Pinellas and Pasco counties, he was the prosecuting attorney on thousands of DUI cases. Since changing sides and defending those unfortunate enough to be charged with driving under the influence, Haynes has defended clients in well over 100 jury trials and negotiated hundreds of deals. He also has a successful track record of filing many motions that have allowed his clients to avoid trial.
