Rocky W. Davis, Sr. is the owner and directing manager of Davis Diversified Inc., a home remodeling business that serves parts of Rome, GA, Lafayette, GA, and its surrounding area. Having incorporated the company 10 years ago, Davis says he knew for a long time he wanted to get into the construction business. For 30 years he worked in sales and had reached upper management, but he always held construction jobs, too. He was working part-time doing tiles and carpentry work. Davis even spent six years in Arizona working full-time in construction. Now that he has his own business doing the work he loves, he wants to give clients his very best. He hand-picks the small crew working with him and tries to use the skills he picked up as a salesperson, such as motivating people, to create a well-balanced home remodeling business. And he enjoys working with clients, he says. “I connect well with people, and I see what they need done, and I try to do it for them at an affordable price,” Davis adds. “The strategy is to give honest, quality work at a fair price.”
