How to Find a Reliable Painter

Paul Kadzis is co-owner of M.S.P. Painting, which provides residential and commercial painting in Boston and southeastern Massachusetts. Along with co-owner Brian Miller and principal Darlene Miller, Kadzis launched the family-run company 15 years ago. “We knew we could do a better job at a better price,” he says. “We’re sticklers about quality. We simply won’t do a bad job.” M.S.P. Painting uses quality paints, such as Benjamin Moore and California Paints, and it provides professional preparation for all painting jobs. Before painting, the company power washes and sprays the area to be painted with bleach to prevent mold. “Preparation is 95 percent of the job in painting,” says Kadzis. “We take that seriously.” The company is the official painter for Thayer Academy, a prep school in Massachusetts, and it has painted the Ocean Spray headquarters.
