Kenny Chevalier is president of Smart Choice Maintenance, Inc., a building maintenance and home improvement company that serves White Plains, N.Y. and Westchester County. Specifically, Smart Choice provides handyman and janitorial services, along with renovations, such as kitchen remodeling. Having been a super for buildings for the last 30 years, Chevalier decided to combine his talents – from maintenance to remodeling – to create this business. What makes the company special, he says, are the skills he brings to the table. “I first became a super at 17 years old,” says Chevalier. “I have experience most people don’t have at my age.” In addition, customer service is of the utmost importance. “I sit down with clients, explain everything from start to finish,” he adds. “I like to make customers comfortable.”
