What Equipment Does Boogie Heads Provide?

Chris Hampton | February 8, 2010

Chris Hampton is the owner of Boogie Heads. A father of five, Hampton runs a number of family-friendly entertainment companies in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In this article, he explains what Boogie Heads entrepreneurs can expect to receive when purchasing a system.

We don’t just bring the Boogie Heads systems to parties for people’s enjoyment. We also sell the systems to aspiring entrepreneurs and people looking for a chance to set out on their own.

When someone calls our office and says that he is interested in owning his own Boogie Heads company, what they are essentially asking for is to buy a Boogie Heads “rig,” which is everything that a person would need to run a part of our company on their own.

For $15,500, business owners can purchase a rig that includes:

  • 4 DVD recorders
  • 1 DVD player
  • 2 speakers
  • Multiple 15- and 40-inch monitors
  • Pro lighting kit
  • “Green screen” (special screen)
  • Tripods and poles
  • 1080p high-def camera
  • 3 adjustable stools
  • 106 music videos
  • And more…

The rig also comes with a training DVD that has all of the information needed to run one of these systems from start the finish. An itemized list of all the screens, recorders, televisions, cases on casters, and wires that are included in the Boogie Heads rig can be found on our website.

But what people really need to know, and what is even more important than what equipment is included, is that Boogie Heads is a so-called “turn-key business.” That means that just by buying this one rig from us, you will have everything you need to run an entire business—from A to Z. We are selling the complete package.

Once you purchase the rig, there are no fees and no royalties that need to be paid to the Boogie Heads company—ever. In fact, there is nothing else that you will need to spend money on at all after you buy the Boogie Heads rig, with the exception of the blank DVDs that you will most likely use to give party-goers personalized favors to take home from the event. But you can purchase those DVDs from any store; not just from us.

The instructional video that comes with the rig explains everything that a person would need to know to operate the Boogie Heads system, and most people pick up the Boogie Heads system within half an hour of playing around with it.

If someone who has purchased a Boogie Heads rig from us ends up having additional questions—whether that includes business questions, marketing questions, equipment questions, or anything else—we are always here to help him get everything sorted out. We won’t just sell a person the equipment and then disappear. We are there every step of the way to answer questions for new business owners as they come up. However, it’s not that common that we get follow-up calls from new Boogie Heads business owners. The training video itself does a great job of explaining how everything works with the system—from the basics of how it operates to the nuts and bolts of what goes where.

In the majority of cases, I would say that we never hear from our Boogie Heads rig owners again after we sell them the equipment and they start running their own business. People just don’t have any lingering questions that they need to have answered, because the system itself is very easy to operate. Without any computers involved, there is very little to mess up or confuse.
