What’s Included?
Membership in the Ben Franklin Society is all about safety and value, says Vigue. When you become a member, you receive one professional safety inspection, leak check and water heater tune-up for your plumbing system annually. This service allows your plumber to identify small problems before they can become big ones.
During each inspection, your Benjamin Franklin plumber will:
- Thoroughly inspect water heater including all valves, filter, electrical components and burner assembly
- Flush water heater
- Inspect toilets for proper operation and leaks
- Inspect faucets for proper operation and leaks
- Inspect sinks, drain assemblies, emergency shutoffs and risers
- Inspect bathtub spout, stopper and overflow
- Inspect all shower heads
- Inspect flow of all drains
- Inspect (outside) water service valve, sewer clean-out and hose bibs
Benjamin Franklin’s maintenance program also provides members with special discounts and rewards. As a Society member, you receive a 15% discount on service and repairs. This discount alone, Vigue says, could pay for your annual membership.
Members are also rewarded with priority repair service, which means you move to the front of the line should the unexpected occur. And the plan is completely transferable. If you move within the company’s service area, you may transfer your club membership to your new home. Otherwise, it can be transferred to the home’s new owner.
