Greg Whitney is the president and owner of GW Environmental Consulting Company in Westlake Village, CA, which serves the western portion of Los Angeles County. Since 1995, GW Environmental Consulting has conducted environmental testing to address issues, such as asbestos, mold, lead, indoor air quality, and other regional environmental hazards inside homes and commercial properties. The goal is to help people protect their property from hazards and keep them safe from the dangers that could be lurking in homes or buildings, says Whitney. Whitney, who was licensed in asbestos consulting and conducting consultations for a property management firm before starting the company, says that what makes the company unique, is its ability to shoulder the responsibility for clients and to cut through the bureaucracy on their behalf. “I go out of my way to simplify things for the client,” says Whitney. “We get reports out within a day or two of the lab results, and we write really thorough reports.”
