About Chaim Sharp

Chaim Sharp is owner of Pyramid Design Group, Architects. He graduated from Cooper Union with a B.A. in Architecture, and before that received a B.F.A. in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design. He is both a registered architect and a certified interior designer, and has been the Principal at Pyramid Design Group since 1989. Mr. Sharp specializes in Construction Administration, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Docs. Some of his selected projects include gut renovation of a 5,000 sq. ft. home with a budget of $1.5 million; gut rehabilitation of a 140-year-old NYC landmark brownstone building; master plan, facade and lobby design for a 1.2 million sq ft. office complex; and master planning/lighting design for the Village of Washingtonville, NYS. Mr. Sharp has taken professional development courses in restoration, historic restoration and masonry construction, and has completed the OSHA Site Safety Training Seminar certificate program. He has taken additional courses in competitive sealed proposal evaluation, construction services, dispute resolution, claims avoidance and resolution, and roofing repair/replacement options. He has also received the Charles Burchfield Sculpture Award (first prize), as well as the New York City Department of Design and Construcion Achievement Award.
