Larry Kirchhoff is the owner of All Star Mechanical, a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning company that serves Lansing, MI and its surrounding area. After working for larger companies for many years, Kirchhoff noticed that customers were not always getting what they paid for. “We were short-changing them,” he says. “During the course of my employment, I decided that when I had a business, I would provide customers with the most I could for their money.” In 2007, he launched All Star Mechanical to do just that, and the company remains his baby. “I don’t have someone sell the business for me,” says Kirchhoff. “You don’t have a different salesman, installer, and service guy. I’m on every job that gets done.” A small business has its benefits, he adds. “As my own boss, I have the power and capability to make sure every job gets done with the same integrity as if it was my own home,” says Kirchhoff. “Larger businesses can’t do the same.”
