How Much Does a Dump Run Cost?

James Brown | January 22, 2010

It can be hard to estimate how much a dump run will cost you, or how much it will take to rent a specific dumpster. That’s why 1-800 Dump Runs of Hartford LLC, located in Manchester, Connecticut, provides free estimates to all its customers. Here, Operations Manager James Brown Jr discusses some of the typical costs..

Sometimes our customers expect to be able to estimate fully what their needs are, but few people really know. That’ why we provide free estimates, and send a representative out to you to do a survey and provide a written estimate.

However, some costs we can provide to give our customers an idea of what to expect:

Dump Runs

  • Our typical cost is based on a 12-cubic yard container, and prorated based on weight and volume.
  • Rates include labor (staff of two) for up to one hour, transportation, and disposal of up to one ton of material.
  • There is a $75 per hour labor charge after the first hour, and $100 prorated charge for each additional ton.

12-Yard Container Rentals

  • The container rentals includes delivery, a seven-day rental period, hauling, and disposal of up to 2 tons of material.
  • There is a $10 per day charge for each additional day after allotted seven-day period, and a $100 prorated charge for each ton after the allotted two tons.

Surcharge

We also charge a small surcharge on certain items. They include, but are not limited to:

  • Appliances with coolant (freezer, air conditiong, refrigerator, dehumidifier)
  • Propane tanks
  • Tires without rims
  • Computers and monitors
  • Latex paint
  • Mattresses
  • Box springs

One of our mottos is that “We do all the labor, you don’t lift a finger.” We literally do all the work for you, so you don’t have to.
