Limousine companies offer a stress-free, comfortable, and stylish way for the wedding party to get around on the big day.
The saying goes, “first comes love, then comes marriage,” but it leaves out something crucial: marriage transportation. Pragmatists say, “first comes love, then comes planning the ceremony, then comes marriage, but not until we figure out transportation first.” Enter the wedding limousine service.
Wedding limo companies offer cars, schedules, and services to fit your budget. For example, many of them have fleets of cars long and short, high and low, big and small, with prices adjusted to the number of passengers and the wedding timeframe.
These cars offer an array of amenities, too, like CD and DVD players, and fiber optic lighting.
Here’s a short list of some of the vehicle models you could choose from, whether in stretch limousine or sedan form: Cadillac Escalade stretches, Chrysler limos, BMW limos, Bentley limos, Porsche Cayenne stretches, Mercedes stretches, and the notoriously monstrous Hummer 20 stretch limo.
Expect prices like $450 for a six-seater, $498 for an eight-seater, $840 for a Lincoln Navigator 12-seater stretch, and $570 for a 1965 Rolls Royce (…classy). These cars are typically black or white, the traditional wedding limo colors.
Remember to do your research. Many limousine companies are out there and you want to choose the best one to honor an event as important as a wedding.
First, ask about the ages of the limousines. You probably want to ride in a limousine that’s relatively new, or at least recently repaired and well maintained.
Secondly, ask what the company’s chauffeur intends to wear. It’s unlikely that he will arrive in a T-shirt and jeans, but you may want the chauffeur’s outfit to match the wedding party. You may have preferences for a white suit or a snazzy tuxedo.
Third, find out if gratuity is included in the limousine service price, or if a tip beyond the price is expected.
Fourth, see what kind of package deal you can get. Instead of paying for three hours, and then rehiring for another three hours, you may get a good package price for hiring a limousine and driver for a whole day for every event, not only the arrival at the wedding. Additionally, many limo companies could have a time minimum. So make sure you’re not using a limo for only 30 minutes when you’re paying for, at minimum, for three hours.
Fifth, ask whether the limousine service charges heavily for a cancellation. Just to make sure.
Sixth, are any extras thrown into the service, like champagne, or a sun roof?
Seven: This one’s really important. Find out the nature of the limo company’s license and authority to operate limousines. The Department of Transportation requires limousine services to have updated operational authority licenses as part of its regulation of the industry.
And eight: Ask about the limousine company’s insurance. They are required to have a certificate of coverage. Don’t hire a company that doesn’t have this insurance.
This is very well written and totally on point. Captain Limousines strives to meet all the points mentioned in this blog. Thanks for putting relevant info out to the public.
