When you’re ready to tackle a major cleanout or construction project, renting a dumpster makes it quick and simple to get rid of junk or debris. Unfortunately though, most people’s understanding of the bin rental and hauling business is limited to what they’ve found in the Yellow Pages. What should you be looking for when you choose a dumpster rental service?
According to Tom Driscoll of Framingham dumpster rental company Yellow Can Man, beware of “nickel-and-dime” tactics when selecting a bin rental service. What you don’t know, he says, could come back to bite you in the form of unexpected fees and up-charges. Driscoll believes strongly in straightforward, transparent pricing. For this reason, he thinks that Yellow Can Man is the best choice in Framingham for dumpster rental service.
Competitive Pricing
Naturally, pricing will be an important consideration when hiring a dumpster rental company. In his own business, Driscoll is proud to offer extremely competitive pricing along with a generous weight allowance.
Pricing for dumpster rentals, he explains, is based on the size of the dumpster you require and how much (in terms of weight) you’re going to be allowed to put into that dumpster. Yellow Can Man, for example, offers two sizes of dumpsters: 10 yards and 15 yards. Customers are charged a flat fee ($320 for the 10-yard size and $420 for the 15-yard) for the bin rental, which includes up to 3,000 pounds for the 10-yard dumpster and 5,000 pounds for the 15-yard dumpster. What this means in terms of the customer’s bottom line is that the customer who rents a 10-yard dumpster can fill it with up to 3,000 pounds before incurring any additional charges.
In contrast, many of Driscoll’s competitors may offer a lower fee for rentals but charge extra for loads that are heavier than 2,000 pounds, for example, in a 10-yard dumpster. While this may initially seem like a better deal, customers often pay more in these situations then if they’d paid a slightly higher rental fee with a more generous weight allowance. This kind of straightforward pricing is just one of the things that makes Driscoll’s company special.
“Ultimately, I believe we stack up very well against our competitors,” Driscoll says, “both in terms of the price you pay and what you get for the money.”
Versatility
Some types of job require specific types of dumpsters, and not all dumpster rental companies have them available. Yellow Can Man, for example, works frequently with roofers, who find that they require smaller dumpsters for access reasons. Driscoll is able to provide equipment that can fit into smaller spaces and is better suited for job sites where equipment height is a concern. Yellow Can Man is therefore a better choice for customers with these types of special needs.
“We offer a lot for the money and equipment that works in a wide variety of situations,” Driscoll says. “We’re committed to making the job easy and affordable for our customers.”
