Locating Under-Slab Leaks

Rick Hedge | March 10, 2010

Often it can be difficult to pinpoint exactly where a leak is coming from, which is why you need to call in a specialist to do the job for you. As president and owner of The Plumber’s Plumber, Rick Hedge specializes in under-slab leak location, and can help you find the leak and repair it, while minimizing holes to your slab.

We are specialized under-slab leak detectors. Once we confirm through various methods that the leak is under the slab, we have the equipment necessary to pinpoint within one foot, generally, the location of the leak underneath the ground. That means we can repair the leak where there is the least disturbance to the slab as possible.

Under-slab leak detection is not an exact science as it requires great skill, patience and an ear to be able to hear the difference between a leak and the other sounds that are underneath the ground. We use many types of equipment, depending on the leak.

Here at The Plumber’s Plumber, we have located more than 1,000 leaks in the last 10 years. With our state-of-the-art smoke testing system, we can also find the source of disturbing odors, which are usually caused by a leak.

Additionally, The Plumber’s Plumber provides expert leak detection services for every other type of plumbing leak, whether in a home or commercial or industrial premises, regardless of whether you are faced with a water or sewer leak.

One reason we are so successful in detecting leaks is because we use the best equipment available to provide both a timely and accurate leak detection service. When we do locate your problem, we give our customers detailed solutions, while discussing the various available options.

We always strive to give our customers the information necessary to allow them to make informed decisions about our services, and we tailor our solutions to meet your preferences. The money you spend to have us locate your leak will be well worth it. And we do all we can to help minimize the holes in your slab to find the leak.
