There’s a reason that home entertainment systems have a reputation as being confusing. That’s because they can be. This is especially true for a person who has got multiple remotes working multiple systems at the same time.
If you need to pick up and use three or four remotes to control your system, then that is most likely going to be challenging for most people. And a lot of times, I find that people will avoid using the remotes because they are too difficult to understand.
That is where the universal remote comes into play, and that’s why these devices are so important to a lot of people with complex home entertainment systems. When you have three or four devices working at the same time, to get your picture and sound up on the screen working simultaneously is definitely going to be easier when you’re controlling it with one remote rather than three or four.
Here at Marshall’s Inside Connections, when we go into a home to set up a custom entertainment system for a client, we always take the time to make sure the client understands how to use it. For all our home installations, we do an initial tutorial once the installation is complete. We sit down with everybody in the house and we show them how to use the entire system. Then we’ll stay there with them while they actually try the system themselves. We’ll even kind of quiz them on how to work the system by getting them to run through a couple of things before we take off. We just want to make sure they know how to work everything before we’re out the door.
Another thing we offer is a free re-visit within 30 days. That allows us to make any change that they might want to the system or how it’s set up, in addition to a second tutorial on how the remote and the system works in case they missed anything the first time. And that is included free of charge by our company.
The benefit of hiring a company like Marshall’s Inside Connections to help install your home entertainment system rather than buying the parts separately and attempting to hook it up on your own is that we will take the time to show you how it works and how to use it. And that right there definitely simplifies the process for a lot of people.
