Professional Drain Unclogging

Rick Hedge | March 9, 2010

If you have a clogged drain and have tried everything you can to put it right to no avail, it’s time to call in the professionals. Rick Hedge is owner of The Plumber’s Plumber, serving Southwestern Florida, and has several methods up his sleeve to get to grips with unclogging your drain fast.

Different tools are use for different problems with drains. The size of the drain or the type of the drain that is clogged will help determine what tool, tools or type of snaking is used to fix the drain problem.

We use several methods to unclog drains, including water jetting and snaking. It all depends on what the problem is with the drain, what kind of drain is involved and other issues.

Water Jetting

Water jetting is good for flushing out grease or sand in the pipes. It is a process of pressure washing the inside of the pipe. This method is efficient and works well on any size of pipe. It also is environmentally safe and economical.

With our high pressure water jets, we can cut through even the toughest drain blockage. It really can be an efficient solution to your clogged drain.

Snaking

Snaking, or cabling, is like the good old- fashioned “roto rooter” machine. Also called an auger, the snake is really just a long, flexible tube that is pushed into the drain until it reaches the clog and pushes it out.

Some snakes are manual while the more powerful ones are electric. They are often the only way to unclog a drain when the clog has passed so far down the line that nothing else can reach it.

Stop Those Leaks

The last thing anyone wants, whether a homeowner or the owner of a commercial premises, is to have a clogged drain that causes leaks, which can eventually even cause structural damage to your property.
