John Rusinak is managing member of Wings Jets, a boutique private jet charter service provider that gives fractional ownership and leading card programs a run for their money. Here he talks about how Wings Jets cares about the environment, donating a portion of every flight revenue to Carbonfund.org.
Here at Wings Jets, we are interested in staying as green and environmentally friendly as possible. We believe that it is important to offset the carbon footprint. So we make contributions to stay carbon neutral. Based on the jet category — light, mid-sized or heavy jet — we donate a particular amount per flight hour to the Carbonfund.org to offset the carbon emissions of each and every flight.
Carbonfund.org has one mission — to work toward a zero-carbon world. With this in mind, it is helping lead the battle against global warming and climate change, and makes it easy for various businesses to work toward a future of clean energy.
To achieve this goal, it encourages companies to make their carbon footprints smaller, and to offset those footprints which it cannot reduce. That is why one of its trademarked mottos is: “Reduce What You Can, Offset What You Can’t.”
CarbonFree Flying
Carbonfund.org offers private jet charter companies a special program that gives clients and companies the opportunity to offset their travel with them through the CarbonFree flying program.
It is estimated that just one percent of a jet’s total operating cost is all that is needed to offset a flight. So once that amount is calculated, the money is donated to offset a project, such as reforestation or finding renewable energy.
Working together, we can help the environment. It’s good to know that Wings Jets is a private jet company that really cares.
