Dr. Mark Hodge runs Berkshire Dental Group in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Dr. Hodge is the state’s only “Elite Invisalign Provider,” the company’s highest recognition award which only about 3% of providers achieve. Dr. Hodge also specializes in Invisalign for teens. Here, he discusses using Invisalign to whiten your teeth.
Let’s face it, we always want to be the best we can be. We know that if we take care of ourselves, we feel better, more energetic, and have high confidence in what we do. We can also agree that when we look good, others are attracted to us. It’s all about positive energy. No one wants to be around someone who mopes around all day. Or who doesn’t take care of themselves, which includes their smile.
Invisalign consists of a series of plastic trays called aligners. They look similar to whitening trays. You change aligners once every two weeks. Each aligner moves the crooked teeth ever-so-slightly until after a set amount of months — and then your teeth are straight.
Not only can Invisalign aligners straighten your teeth without braces, they can also be used as whitening trays. Now we can kill two birds with one stone: You can whiten, brighten, and straighten your teeth all at once. Here’s how it works: After your teeth are straightened, you can use your last aligner to touch up your smile if it’s not as bright as you want it to be.
Whitening trays can cost as much as $400, but we offer complimentary whitening with your Invisalign treatment. Plus, here at Berkshire Dental Group, we make Invisalign affordable. Most orthodontists in my area don’t take PPO insurances and have higher fees for regular braces, and then increase their fees for the Invisalign trays to cover the cost of the lab bill. At my office, we don’t have lots of staff to pay, so we can offer this new technology at the same price as regular braces. My philosophy is to give as many people as possible the chance to have a more attractive smile that will last a lifetime.
