Brand Metaphor
Why a Brand Metaphor?
Our brand metaphor gives our name meaning. It helps to give our brand a visual story to describe what we do and how we do it. And, it builds an identity for our clients to relate with.
Our Brand Metaphor
The metaphor centers around Hans, who is an embodiment of a successful Yodle client. He climbs to the top of his business, represented by a mountain, and "Yodles" to potential customers below.
Who Is Hans?
Hans is a successful Yodle client. He speaks from our client's perspective, never from ours. He is from the Alps, wears lederhosen daily, and enjoys long walks on the ridge. He is a true gentleman.
He is not a mascot for our business in the traditional sense. We should take extra caution to use him properly in our marketing properties.
Yodle as a Verb
Yodling is what our clients do. In this regard, people who work for Yodle are not “Yodlers." Our clients are Yodlers. They are the ones who are marketing their businesses, and they are the ones signing up to Yodle.
Yodlers as Our Clients
Our clients are the people who use our services, climb to the top of the mountain, and Yodle. For this reason, we refer to them as Yodlers. Employees of Yodle should be refered to as Yodle Employees.
