Save the Earth and Get Your Carpets Cleaned, All at Once!

Your carpets might be too clean, and you might develop quite the ego for your eco-crusading efforts.

Everywhere you turn, companies want you to be able to choose environmentally safe methods. They want to be able to meet your needs without making you harm the environment. One service that is taking note as well as taking action is the carpet cleaning service industry. A service like carpet cleaning has a pretty bad reputation when it comes to keeping the air safe and clean. It’s a service that involves chemicals, and not just any chemicals. These are industrial strength chemicals, meant to get everything out of your carpets that your grocery store cleaners couldn’t – and keep them clean for months to come. So, does that mean you have to live with dirty carpets if you care about protecting Mother Nature? Not anymore.

What is Eco-Friendly Carpet Cleaning?

Forget the carpet cleaning service you’re used to, coming into your home and using noxious chemicals that not only pollute the air but also possibly a nearby water supply and plants. But one that can also make you, the home’s inhabitant, dizzy and nauseated. Carpet cleaning services are getting with the times now. New cleaning products have enabled services to stock up on safe cleaners. These products are more natural, less harsh, noxious chemicals. They are actually plant-based instead of artificial chemical-based. They do not harm the environment, not the air, not the plants, not the water. And they won’t harm you, either. Carpet cleaners now use cleaning products like Bi-O-Kleen, , NatureClean, and Seventh Generation’s Natural Citrus Carpet Cleaner. Don’t worry about the effectiveness, either. These products have been around long enough to prove that even though they are more natural options, they still have great results and leave your carpets totally squeaky clean. You can actually call your carpet cleaners and they will be more than happy to tell you what products they use. You can look the products up and make sure they’re to your liking, both for environmental safety and great carpet cleaning results.

Who should use Eco-Friendly Carpet Cleaners?

Well, if you need your carpet cleaned and you care about the environment, then this is really the only sensible choice. You just wouldn’t feel responsible if you let carpet cleaners release toxins into the air when there is a better way out there. Your carpet will still be clean, and because using safe chemicals is so “the norm” now, it won’t cost you an arm and a leg to go green. In fact, check around and get a few estimates. Many companies do not even charge extra to use green-approved products. Really, though, even if you’re not a green junkie, you should opt for this route. It’s no work for you and can only yield benefits. You have, literally, nothing to lose — only to gain. You carpet will be refreshed, and the environment will have been spared some chemicals, all at no extra cost or stress to you.

What are the benefits of Eco-Friendly Carpet Cleaners?

Everything! It’s pretty hard to find a disadvantage when you get a service performed that doesn’t hurt the environment we have to live and breathe in. Your carpets – and upholstered furniture, if we forgot to mention – will look as new as the day you got them. You may keep up with cleaning your carpets, but a professional service every now and then will revive them in a way ordinary products you keep under the sink just can’t. And now, this can be done without polluting the air, without harming nearby water and/or plants, without making you dizzy or nauseated, without you having to worry about what your kids and pets are breathing in. It’s totally effective, totally safe, and is still affordable. What more do you need to convince you? And it’s so easy to get. So many carpet cleaning services now carry eco-friendly products. When you call around, just ask, and be sure to inquire if it is an extra charge to use them. Even if you already have a service you faithfully use, see if they will switch to switch to eco-friendly solutions.

  1. So many companies are slow to change over to more enviro-friendly products because they think that they do not work as well. Nothing could be farther from the truth. This article clearly illustrates that fact and I hope more people get the message.
