Position Overview:
This position reports to the Vice President of Finance and is a newly established role due to the growth in the organization. Responsibilities will include establishing policies and procedures to address the growth and the fast –changing business. Implementation of new accounting system and the establishment of the closing processes. Overseeing the revenue and accounts receivable function of the organization. . This position is ideal for a self-starter, one who can take tasks from start to finish and one who enjoys working in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of new GL package – Experience with Great Plains, Oracle or Epicor Accounting systems preferred
• Preparing month-end close activities especially for the revenue cycle
• Ensure monthly/ yearend financial compliance with GAAP
• Oversight of customer billings and preparation of third-party customer statements
• Preparation of monthly revenue and cash forecasting schedules, including analysis of variances
• Establish internal controls
• Work with outside auditors on annual audit and implement comments from management letter
• Oversight and review of tax and compliance work
• Staff management

Qualifications:
• Extensive Knowledge of GAAP
• CPA/MBA is preferred
• BS in Accounting
• 5+ Years of experience preferably within public and private organizations
• Excellent oral and written communication Skills
• Strong Organizational Skills
• Detail-Oriented
• Ability to work as a team player
• Flexibility (open to change) and ability to learn on the fly
