by Angela Gonzales
Yodle Inc., a New York City online advertising company, is looking to hire more than 80 employees at its Scottsdale office.
The company will host a career open house from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. June 3 at its office at Skysong the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center, 1375 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite 310.
Open positions include interactive marketing specialists, interactive marketing assistants, account representatives and client service managers. Their jobs will be to help small businesses find placement on Internet search engines as well as create customized sites for businesses to track their advertising performance.
Yodle was named the fastest growing local online advertising company last October by industry analyst Borrell Associates after reporting a 135 percent year-over-year revenue increase.
Company officials say Yodle has grown more than 100 percent each year for the last three years and plan to continue on that growth path.
Last month, Yodle expanded its Scottsdale office, taking 14,296 square feet on the fourth floor of SkySong, where 32 employees are housed. It originally expanded to SkySong in November 2008.
In February, Yodle completed a $10 million Series D funding round, led by Palo Alto, Calif.-based JAFCO Ventures and joined by Bessemer Venture Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Draper Fisher Jurvetson Growth. This new round of financing brings Yodle’s total financing to $38 million.
Bessemer is a global investment group with offices in Silicon Valley, Boston, New York, Mumbai and Tel Aviv. Draper Fisher has offices in more than 30 cities around the world. Yodle, which has operations in 25 major cities, recently published a book, “Local Online Advertising For Dummies,” to help companies plan and launch advertising programs, draw traffic to their web sites and create social media campaigns.
