Environmental consultants, much like environmental engineers, are concerned with the possible environmental impact of a project or development on a given area. Whereas engineers are more concerned with the actual structure or building and its effect, consultants are more about determining potential issues surrounding the environmental impact of the building or structure, dealing with potential issues such as mold or tainted soil, and creating any contingency plans should an environmental issue arise.
