Yodle is looking for an analytical powerhouse who can take mountains of data and turn it into meaningful business insight. The Business Intelligence Analyst is perfect for someone who loves working with numbers in a business setting, wants to drive business results and is comfortable working regularly with top-level executives. This role reports into the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities
• Use superior analytical skills and business judgment to identify, prioritize, structure and solve various complex business problems
• Analyze large data sets and derive key, actionable business insights and communicating them to senior management
• Ensure rigorous quality control over data, analyses and metrics, and organizational clarity and alignment for key business metrics
• Owning the reporting function/skillset for the whole company and lead the standardization of all reporting metrics (KPI and other)
• Work closely with executives and other finance team members on the financial modeling and forecasts

Qualifications:

General:
• Superior analytical/problem-solving abilities
• Ability organize and present data in a way that tells compelling stories and drives decisions.
• Keen intuition about data analysis - you can distinguish what matters from what doesn't and you understand thoroughly the ways in which data can mislead.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, particularly when interacting with executives.
• Ability to work as a team player
• Ability to manage multiple project in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Strong work ethic
• Bachelor's or Master's degree from a leading business or computer science program.
• Some academic background in statistics, mathematics and economics preferred
• Background in online advertising or search engine marketing a plus

Technical
• Exceptional SQL skills with 2+ years experience writing complex queries. We use PostgreSQL, but a background in MySQL, MS SQL, etc is just fine.
• Exceptional Excel skills - you will need to transform large data sets into easy-to-digest summaries and charts.
• Experience with scripting or statistical languages like VBA, Python, Perl, Java and R a plus.
• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting a plus
