Overview
Yodle, a leading provider local search advertising and online lead generation services to small businesses continues to grow and is actively looking to hire a senior interaction designer. Based out of our Manhattan office, this is a unique opportunity to design simple, intuitive UI for cutting edge local search marketing advertising solutions.

In this highly critical role, our ideal candidate is an innovative problem solver with a passion for designing simple, intuitive web UI and possesses an intimate knowledge of the technologies that are used to turn concepts into working front-end code.

The right candidate is capable of thinking big, yet executing down to the finest detail. You’re able to quickly synthesize and distill ideas from product sessions into reality, design mockups and work with users to test interactions. This is a collaborative role as you’ll be interacting with customers, product leads and engineers to develop best in class web applications and products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare UI specs comprised of wireframes, conceptual models, process flows, navigational maps, mockups, and/or interaction flow diagrams.
• Model complex transactional systems that are both consumer and merchant facing
• Conceptualize, plan and guide development of web applications
• Work closely with developers to turn concepts into front-end pages
• Become an expert in Yodle’s products so you can quickly and confidently recommend areas of improvement and opportunity

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience of user interface design, interaction design human factors engineering, or information architect position.
• Ability to draw and mockup multi-page window flow that elegantly solves user needs.
• Great communication skills –ability to interact with senior management, product directors, customer service, engineers and QA to ensure flawless delivery to production.
• Passionate commitment to the customer and to product quality: The interaction designer will champion the customer's needs and implement a model of continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of Visio or Omnigraffle
