The Area: Marketing Operations
Yodle's Marketing Operations Team is a small group of marketing professionals who work within the Product department. Our work involves the strategic research, development and maintenance of marketing best practices through different distributions (e.g., SEM, SEO, etc.) as well as the management of marketing operational efficiency and effectiveness. Our team works with groups across Yodle (Sales, Client Services, Product Management, Optimization) to facilitate the best possible marketing solutions for our small business clients. Some recent projects include formulation of an optimal taxonomy for our SEM campaigns as well as the research, development and execution of a centralized ad-copy system to measure and improve performance. The team works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment filled with opportunities for both personal and professional development. Most importantly, we have fun doing what we do!

The Role: Marketing Operations Manager
We are currently seeking a talented Marketing Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience with Internet Marketing preferably in the local advertising space. He/she must be the consummate team player and feel comfortable with the dynamic pace of an Internet startup. The candidate should attack marketing problems from an analytical perspective and be comfortable working with in-house technology platforms and various data sets to test different hypotheses. The ability to communicate/coordinate clearly and effectively is an absolute must.

This position reports to the Director of Optimization.

Responsibilities
• Hypothesize and execute marketing tests including A/B testing, multivariate testing, etc.
• Analysis of key SEM and non-SEM metrics in driving marketing best practices innovation.
• Optimization of under-performing client marketing campaigns
• Interact with cross-functional teams in executing and enforcing best practices.
• Liaise with Client Services and Sales teams in prospecting new segment and services offerings.

Qualifications
• 1-4 years of experience working in the internet advertising industry – experience in the local space is preferred.
• Technology-savvy, resourceful and a quick learner: must be able to grasp subtle concepts and communicate them to others in a concise and precise manner.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, have a positive attitude and demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Must be able to think outside-the-box and provide practical solutions to real-world problems.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel required – knowledge of SQL would be ideal.
• BA/BS from a 4-year university is required – course of study in an analytical discipline (e.g., Economics, Psychology, Computer Science) is preferred.
