The Creative Manager will ensure that creative work is being done as expected on the right time schedule. They are responsible for delegating tasks and quality control. Focus on time management, leadership and working under pressure and deadlines.
The Creative Manager is charged with determining the best ways/practices for design and functionality of new web properties of both internal and external customers. This will be accomplished through the use of A/B testing and various analytics programs. It also involves working with internal and external clients, and understanding client needs. The Creative Manager will be responsible for managing a small in house team and third party firms while also working directly with other Yodle departments.
Responsibilities • Manages creative team (Graphic Design, Content and Usability) to ensure strategic and creative objectives are understood and consistently met, communicating project status and recommending adjustments to plan.
• Works with other departments to create/produce appropriate web properties and performance testing
• Create landing pages, banner advertisements and other web properties that are optimized for conversions
• Provide conceptual, design, analytics testing, and copy direction as appropriate for all web properties
• Communicate effectively with departments, team members and other project related groups to ensure project objectives are understood and consistently met, communicating project status and recommending adjustments to plan.
• Manage the resource allocation of internal and external resources of the creative staff (along with other dept managers)
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in Fine Arts or related field or equivalent visual design
• Must possess a thorough understanding of interactive communications and delivery systems, processes, and user interface design as well as industry best practices
• Must be great with graphic design and design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign & Flash
• Must be a great HTML/CSS Coder. Ability to hand code a must!
• Must be familiar with web metrics such as CTR, Conversion, CPC, CPM, etc…
• Experience in landing page optimization, design for direct response, A/B and multivariable testing
• Front end development experience and design required.
• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography & limitations of the web
• A strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, interactive commerce and creative process
• Print and web design capabilities: must know how to work in both media for integrated campaigns
• Ability to lead projects from concept to completion. Apply best practices in user interface and interactive design
• Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
