Business/Optimization Analyst – New York, NY

We are looking for a unique individual to join our Optimization team. Our team analyzes huge sets of data and continually runs live experiments in order to help drive critical decisions at Yodle that directly affect our bottom line. Specifically, we support the development of innovative, highly scalable, next-generation technologies through deep research and precise analysis. Our responsibilities include producing quantitative and qualitative modeling in areas such as business dynamics and user behavior as well as creating innovative analysis methods.

In this highly visible role as a Business Analyst for the company, you will be responsible for interpreting and communicating results and developing and documenting new experiment and analysis frameworks.


Responsibilities
Are you ready for your career defining opportunity? If so, you should have the following:

Quantitative/statistical training and experience applying that training to real-world data

Familiarity and experience with effective experimental design

Training and experience in areas such as data analysis, statistical modeling, and data mining

Experienced using technology to work efficiently with large datasets; e.g., scripting (Python, Perl), statistical software packages (R, S-Plus, SAS, MatLab or similar); Unix/Linux; OLAP

Proficiency with SQL

Outstanding analytical and communication skills

Demonstrated ability to work and complete projects independently

Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic fast-paced environment

BS or MS in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Biostatistics, Physics, Operations Research, or other discipline involving quantitative analysis of experimental data
