Job Overview
Yodle is looking for a smart, energetic web developer/designer to join our in-house team. This individual will design and code stylish website templates for Yodle customers around the country following established Yodle best practices for website performance. This person would also be responsible for the creation and on-going updates to both new and existing client’s websites following specifications as provided by the client. In this critical position, you are responsible for communicating the client’s vision for their business via a website. This website will enable visitors to have a unique experience understanding the client’s offering and how they can take advantage of the client’s available services.
To succeed in this role, you must have strong attention to detail and have a great eye for design. You will need to keep the technical execution of the site “back of mind” as you translate the client’s vision. You will need to have an intuitive sense of color, navigation and space. You will need to be able to quickly change a website based on the client’s specifications, design mockups, make coding edits, and work within a team to develop and maintain great websites.
Responsibilities
• Works with other departments to create/produce appropriate web properties and performance testing
• Create landing pages, websites and other web properties that are optimized for high conversion rates
• Provide conceptual, design, analytics testing, and copy direction as appropriate for all web properties
• Communicate effectively with departments, team members and other project related groups to ensure project objectives are understood and consistently met, communicating project status and recommending adjustments to plan.
Qualifications
• Must be great designer and superior knowledge of tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign & Flash
• Must be a great HTML/CSS Coder. Ability to hand code a must!
• Undergraduate degree in Fine Arts or related field or equivalent visual design
• Ability to multitask and work on dozens and dozens of open tasks in a single day under tight deadlines
• Ability to serve as a liaison on project status between the sales team and account management team
• Serve as an escalation point should priorities/deadlines on a given project need to be changed
• Must be familiar with web metrics such as CTR, Conversion, CPC, CPM, etc…
• Experience in landing page optimization, design for direct response, A/B and multivariable testing
• Front end development experience and design required
• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography & limitations of the web
• Ability to lead projects from concept to completion. Apply best practices in user interface and interactive design
• Knowledge of SEO/PPC/Conversion Based Design a big plus
