The Vice President of B2C Marketing reports to Chief Product and Marketing Officer Louis Gagnon (ex SVP at Monster) and is a member of the company’s executive team.  S/he will be a strategic thinker who has a deep understanding of online media, social media, SEM, SEO, lead generation, and landing page optimization.  The Vice President of B2C Marketing will be responsible for the optimal deployment of $100M+ of online marketing spend across 70,000 campaigns. S/he will ensure that we invest the marketing dollars of our clients as effectively as possible and that we understand the conditions for our products to succeed in delivering clicks and phone calls/leads to our clients.

Responsibilities

The Vice President of B2C Marketing will possess strong analytical capabilities and be responsible for driving all consumer marketing efforts. Primary functions include:
• Manage and work with a team of 17 analytical marketing professionals to research and develop online marketing best practices through rigorous data-driven insights
• Optimize customer’s web sites templates
• Design vertical strategies for content and copy
• Campaign analytics and optimization for all of our products
    o SEM
    o Display
    o SEO
• Work with Yodle’s Product Strategy/Management teams to facilitate appropriate technology build-out in supporting and scaling online marketing best practices through automation.
• Provide goals and vision for our Algorithmic bidding optimization team
• Lead media partnerships/buying for PPC, Display, mobile and social
• Lead new media channel testing and optimization for PPC and Display
• Supervise and optimize listing distribution partnerships
• Play a key role in developing a culture of Excellence and Accountability with direct team and the entire organization

Qualifications

• At least 7 years experience in comparable industries (e commerce, online marketing)
• Demonstrated personal track record of success in building large audiences through online direct marketing including use of banner, search, affiliate, email and co-reg as marketing channels.
• Strong track record of building and hiring a world-class marketing team
• Hands on experience building, optimizing and executing online marketing campaigns
• Hands-on experience with SEM (e.g., Google Adwords) preferred – experience with other online advertising channels (SEO, Display, Social Media) is an additional plus
• Superior analytical skills – must have prior hands-on experience working with large data sets
• Communicates complex data-driven findings in both a concise and precise manner
• A successful track record in building, growing and managing dynamic teams
• Ability to research and stay ahead of online media industry trends
• Exceptional project management skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks
• Charismatic leader with ability to create a positive work environment, further Yodle’s unique and open culture and be a motivator for the team and the entire organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
• MBA, MSc in business or a quantitative discipline is preferred
