SEO Operations Manager

Job Overview
The SEO Operations Manager will report to the Director of Web Development and will be charged with managing a team of SEO specialists who have responsibilities in the off-page deliverables of our SEO product with a heavy focus on building links and citations as well as claiming profiles on websites such as Google, Yahoo! and Bing for our clients. This role will also have responsibilities in process management to ensure that we execute upon a predetermined SEO strategy by ensuring that key milestones and initiatives are delivered on time and with the highest levels of quality.

Responsibilities
• Hire, train, retain and mentor a team of SEO specialists to execute on our organic strategy
• Utilize feedback from clients and staff to contribute to company strategy, plans and service.
• Actively participate in management and training of the organic operations team and motivate them to achieve a high level of performance
• Work cross-functionally with other departments (specifically product, sales and client services) to ensure proper resource management and continual innovation and improvement
• Work closely with the web development team to ensure a smooth delivery of cross-team initiatives
• Define and enforce levels of service, touch plan, deliverables, and optimizations
Qualifications
• 3+ years experience managing 7 or more employees in a fast-paced, high-volume client service work environment
• Very strong knowledge of SEO best practices including on-page, off-page strategies as well as SEO writing best practices. (SEM knowledge a plus)
• Excellent people management skills including resolving conflict, coaching and developing others, promoting teamwork, and performance management
• Ability to juggle multiple projects with varied internal/external deadlines
• Analytical thinker who can make swift decisions, adapt to changes while staying the course and deliver results
• Demonstrated experience building profitable client and vendor relationships
• Hands-on, action-oriented leader with the ability to understand client goals and how they translate into media strategy
• Strong understanding of the online advertising industry, including the major players and supporting technologies; specifically SEM, SEO and online lead generation
• Knowledge of web development languages such as HTML/CSS a BIG plus
