SEO Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager who will be responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of improvements to Yodle’s industry leading Search Engine Optimization (SEO) product, Yodle Organic.  As an SEO expert, you will lead Search Engine Optimization consulting engagements for our national clients, audit and define best practices in all SEO products, produce ideas for new initiatives based on research data, work cross functionally with our leaders in sales and client services, marketing, product and technology to deliver best in class SEO product offerings.  You will be expected to stay up to date in new developments in Search Engine Optimization and actively researching, testing and proposing new approaches to improving search engine rankings.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of customer focus, a quantitative mind, ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and consistently drive for results.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) experience
• Expert knowledge of Search Engine Optimization best practices, tactics and ranking strategies
• Knowledge of SEO software and tools including ability to optimize for SEO using raw HTML and in diverse CMS platforms.
• Knowledge of Omniture, Google Analytics or other Web Analytics services
• Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with ability to present and explain complex SEO subjects to non-technical audience
• Ability to handcode W3C compliant XHTML
• Understanding of Linux/Apache and ASP.net/IIS, how to setup and test for 301 redirects, duplicate content, url canonicalization
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Java Script and Flash and how search engines are influenced by web technologies.
• Expertise in various link building techniques and tactics.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Experience with Web information architecture and design a plus
• Experience working with large, dynamic websites, large national brands, and managing projects a plus
• Experience working in lead-generation a plus
• Bachelor’s degree
