Yodle is looking for an analytical powerhouse who can turn mountains of data into meaningful business insights. The Data Analyst is perfect for someone who is passionate about working with data in a business setting and wants to drive actionable results. The Data Analyst will produce weekly, monthly and ad hoc business reporting and ensure consistency across the user base. This position is ideal for a self-starter, one who can take tasks from start to finish and one who enjoys working in a fast-paced, challenging environment. This position reports to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis.
Responsibilities
• Analyze large data sets and derive key, actionable business insights
• Ensure rigorous quality control over data, analyses and metrics, and organizational clarity and alignment for key business metrics
• Produce weekly/monthly/executive reporting
• Support ad hoc data requests for the entire company
Qualifications
General
• 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Minimum of a BS from a leading business or computer science program preferred
• Academic background in statistics, mathematics and/or economics preferred
• Superior analytical/problem-solving abilities
• Ability organize and present data in a way that tells compelling stories and drives decisions
• Strong intuition about data analysis - you can distinguish what matters from what doesn’t and you understand thoroughly the ways in which data can mislead.
• Rigorous attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work as a team player
• Ability to manage multiple project in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Strong work ethic
Technical
• Exceptional Excel skills - you will need to transform large data sets into easy-to-digest summaries and charts.
• Database systems and tools, such as SQL preferred.
